These Chickadees are the 4th painting in the alcohol ink aviary, preceded by the Cardinals, Blue Jays and Robins. Their name comes from their easily recognizable “chick-a-dee-dee-dee” alarm call, which they use to alert each other to the presence of a potential predator.
